FCHBA Scholarship 2023

The Forest City Hebrew Benevolent Association (FCHBA) is pleased to announce that in honor of the senior graduating class of 2023 there will be up to a total of five educational scholarships available, not to exceed an aggregate total of $6,000 annually. These awards are for high school seniors pursuing higher education and are non-renewable.

The objective of this program is to further improve and foster relations between member families and the association. Scholarship awards, which are competitively based, will be granted in recognition and support of academic excellence, respective community involvement and participatory contributions to Judaism. The outline of requirements for this Scholarship is detailed on the opposite side of this letter.

Qualifying applicants will be a child, grandchild or great grandchild of a FCHBA member. The member must be in good standing with the organization as of March 15, 2023. To encourage participation, the scholarship awards committee, which is autonomous within the organization, has set forth very modest requirements.

There is no restriction as to field of study or academic discipline. The applicant must currently be a high school senior who will be going on next year as an incoming freshman, matriculating in an accredited academic college or university, technical college, or post secondary school and enrolled towards a degree or certificate.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to apply for this scholarship program. As always, we are very proud of our members and their families. Please remember that to be considered, an application must be postmarked on or before March 15, 2023. No extension of time will be granted. Any submission received with a postmark after March 15, 2023 will be automatically returned.

Should you have any questions, please contact Judy Goodstein 440-646-9419

Good luck,

Scholarship Committee
